Trash Collection

Trash Collection Rules and Guidelines

As part of the Trash Reduction pilot program, all regular household trash should be bagged only in the official Town-issued Orange trash bags before being placed out for collection in the green trash cart.

Each household on Monday’s route will be provided with 15-gallon orange trash bags and 8-gallon green food scraps bag to use during the pilot program. If after recycling and separating out your food waste, you find that your household needs more bags during the pilot, please reach out to NVCOG.

Place your Orange trash bags and Green Food scraps bag together in your trash cart. Place your cart curbside by 6am on your collection day. Bags go together in the same container.
